For some odd reason, October makes my beer Spidey senses tingle. There’s so much going on in the world of craft. You have Oktoberfest, you have the Great American Beer Festival, and if you’re in Houston, you have the Month of Murkey.

What is the Month of Murkey, you ask? Well, it’s an event that happens every October where a group of breweries give their spin on a hazy IPA. That is how I would explain it.

The idea started at No Label Brewing in Katy, Texas. This year, there are 24 participating breweries, and while I know I won’t be able to make it to all of them, I will try to get to double digits.

I will use my trusty wheel to spin and let it decide which one I will try that day.
