Top 5 Beers I am Ready To Try At The Dauphin Street Beer fest

This will be my first time attending the Dauphin Street Beer Fest, and I am honestly pretty excited about it. It seems a bit different from the ones I’ve attended before, but it looks like it will be fun. The fest spans 13 different locations and offers 50-plus beers. I checked out the list and narrowed it down to 5 that I’m eager to try, though I circled one at each location. I chose my top 5, and I’ll rate them from best to worst once I’ve tried them. If you’re reading this, you’re probably curious about which 5 I’m choosing, so I’ll stop rambling and get to the list.

1. Urban South Po-boy Amber Pale Ale – While the name might suggest some digestive risks, I just love Urban South. It’s the first place I visit when I’m in New Orleans, especially since they closed the Houston location.

2. Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA – If you know me, you know I love a good IPA, and Deschutes never lets me down. I have a feeling this will be at the top of my list when my little beer competition is over.

3. Scofflaw Juice Quest Hazy IPA – I’ve never had a beer from Scofflaw, so I’m excited to pop that cherry and see what it’s like. Plus, is there even such a thing as a bad hazy?

4. Pretoria Fields Walker Station Stout – I’m not usually a fan of stouts because they look like “poo water,” but I’m hoping Pretoria Fields will be the one to make me fall in love with stouts.

5. New Belgium Dominga Paloma Sour – Sours aren’t usually my thing, but some of those shits are awesome, and I’m looking forward to trying this one because New Belgium is always clutch.

Those are my five! Check out the full list of beers that will be there, and let me know which ones you’d choose.
